Frequently asked questions
When you enter data into your Jane account, it's encrypted using the same standard banks use for online transactions. It's stored on private servers in SOC 2 Type 2-certified data centres and backed up regularly to secondary servers. During signup, you choose your regional data centre: Canada, the US, the UK, or Australia. For more detail on how Jane handles data, see our Privacy Notice.

Last year, Jane delivered greater than 99.99% uptime, which works out to less than one hour of downtime for the entire year. Every Jane clinic also has a Service-Level Agreement (SLA) in place. Live status updates and incident reports are always available on Jane's Status Page.
Jane Payments is built on Stripe's infrastructure and meets international PCI compliance standards. Credit card data is tokenised, meaning only a secure placeholder is ever stored in Jane, not the actual card details.
Jane has a dedicated team of security, fraud prevention, and compliance experts who actively monitor threats, build with privacy-by-design principles, and advise teams across the company on best practices. But security at Jane isn't siloed to one team. Everyone at Jane is trained in privacy, including the Support team, which handles account access with discretion, and the Product team, which builds with a deep understanding of what clinics need to stay compliant.
Jane currently supports SMS-based verification and third-party authentication apps. We still recommend pairing those with a strong, unique password and keeping an eye on your account activity.
